ESG and dedicated green bond funds would have been queuing up to get their hands on the bonds so it’s no wonder the sale was massively over-subscribed. “It’s no real surprise to see such huge demand for green gilts given there’s been such a shortage of high-quality green government bonds in Europe and worldwide.
